SSG awarded two contracts in Health Information Exchange to support Electronic Laboratory Reporting and Syndromic Surveillance

Boston, MA; March 2011 – Building on extensive past experience with HL7 and message broker technologies, SSG has built expertise in the areas of Health Information Exchange (HIE) and meeting the recently established Meaningful Use criteria. SSG has brought success to our customers, including private Electronic Medical Record companies, State entities and City organizations, by establishing HIE infrastructure and messaging that meets Meaningful Use criteria. Our strengths in this area include:

  • Requirements Definition for HIE and Meaningful Use (particularly for Immunization and Disease Surveillance related transmissions)
  • Creation and registration of custom code sets with the HL7 Object Identifier (OID) Registry
  • Messaging infrastructure design and development (implementing message brokers and web service interfaces)
  • Regression testing to confirm Meaningful Use requirements are met

SSG is a proud, contributing member of the standards organization Health Level Seven International. We are excited about the potential for enhanced data exchange infrastructure in the health care arena and value our opportunities to support these efforts.
